How to Unclog a Drain
If you have experienced a slow or stopped up drain, you know it can be a real inconvenience. So how do you unclog a drain? There are a number of ways to unclog a drain depending on what type of drain and how bad the drain is clogged.
If your kitchen sink drain is clogged and you have a garbage disposal, there is a chance the garbage disposal just needs to be turned on with the water running and that could clear it up. If that does not work, you may have a blockage further down in the drain pipe that may require more that a home remedy. Before you start getting adventurous and go under the sink, keep in mind the problem may be even further down in the pipe and could even be a main line stoppage.
You need experience dealing with all types of clogged drains. Depending on the extent or source of the clog, Hydro Jetting or high water pressure equipment may be needed to clear out the drains. Usually, there is a drain outlet outside that can be accessed to help get to the problem.
